Andrew Pollack - president, Northern Collaborative Technologies
Andrew is a consultant and firefighter. To earn a living, he helps clients get the most out of technology. For fun -- and to serve his community -- he likes to drive the big red truck and run into burning buildings as a member of the Cumberland Fire Department.
He is the president of Northern Collaborative Technologies, author of the popular NCT Search tool for site developers and a 2003 IBM Lotus Beacon Award winner for his long-term success in building an extranet used by more than 100,000 people in several languages.
Mr. Pollack has been working with the Lotus Notes platform since 1991 and has written and spoken extensively on using application development skills to produce automation on the administrative side resulting in lower costs and faster response to users. Aside from his expertise in project management and cost-saving site architectures, Mr. Pollack is a firefighter and enjoys drawing parallels between these two vastly different careers when he speaks and writes.
In addition to all that, Andrew coaches soccer for his daughters, and, on rare occasions, gets to sleep.
