I've been tasked with splitting off a small company's network from their parent company's network. Everything seemed to be going fine, until I tried to do a test of moving an Exchange 2003 user's .PST file from the old domain into the new one. The parent company's IT department used ExMerge to export the test mailbox to a (350MB) PST, which was burned onto CD and sent to me. When I got the CD, I tried to use ExMerge to import the PST into the already created user's mailbox. However, I got the standard "Error opening message store (MSEMS). Verify that the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is running and that you have the correct permissions to log on (0x8004011d)" error message.

I have checked that the Information Store is running, I have created a new Security Group and given the administrator account full access (including Send as & Read as), I have waited the prescribed 15 minutes for the changes to propagate... But I get the same error message. QUESTION POSED ON: 23 JUL 2006
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Bharat Suneja You may need to wait longer for store permissions to kick in, or you can restart the Information Store service.
