Can I disable QTSTRQS on AS400 (V5R3)? What is this profile used for? QUESTION POSED ON: 04 MAY 2006
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Carol Woodbury If I remember correctly, QTSTRQS was created long ago and is used when testing old hardware devices. (I wouldn't quote me on that one, however. I could be wrong.) You can probably set it to STATUS(*DISABLED), but personally I wouldn't bother because it doesn't have a password. Setting the status to *DISABLED gains you no additional protection if a profile doesn't have a password.

You can see the shipped settings for IBM profiles in the iSeries Security Reference manual, Appendix B.
