How does one determine every object (including libraries) to which a user has private authority? QUESTION POSED ON: 28 APR 2006
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Carol Woodbury Run the Display User Profile command with the following option:
DSPUSRPRF USRPRF(user_name) TYPE(*OBJAUT)
This will list the private authorities the user has with the exception of any private authorities to objects in the IFS. If you run the command and you see a plus (+) sign in the lower right-hand corner, cursor down to the message and scroll. The message will tell you how many (but not which) objects the user is authorized to. To get that info you have to use an API.
