I want to create a custom WYSIWYG XML editor in C#. How would that be possible? By WYSIWYG, I mean that the user will never get to see the actual XML outcome, only different text colors (for example) for each element he chooses to insert. Any general directions on what to look for would be greatly appreciated. QUESTION POSED ON: 13 FEB 2006
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Ed Tittel You'll have to get pretty familiar with the UI components in VS.NET and C# to do a bang-up job here, but you should be able to get great inspiration and examples from the following bits of online lore (one aims right at XML, the other at HTML, but both should provide plenty of ideas and direction): A little judicious poking about with your favorite search engine will probably help you find more illustrations of these concepts at work, but this should be enough to get you going.

Good luck with a great project idea.
