I have some customers that are disabled, and the only way they have to operate and maneuver around their computers is with a voice recognition system. They all use Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Some of them would like to use open-source software instead of Windows, but I can't find any voice recognition system that works with open source. Do you know of any voice recognition system for open source? QUESTION POSED ON: 12 DEC 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Tom Pisello Google is a great resource for finding potential solutions. I have no firsthand experience with open source voice recognition, but suggest you start researching with SynapseAdaptive.com.

Perhaps you can post a question to Ray Kurzwiel, a longtime leader in voice and speech recognition, and company at KurzweilTech.com.
