I have more than five years in IT and am recently completing my MCSA, MCSE and A++ certs. Do you think the market is as bad as everyone says? Will I be able to find work? I live in New Jersey. QUESTION POSED ON: 09 NOV 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Ed Tittel If you're in the northern half of the state, you might be able to consider work in the greater New York City metro area (including Hackensack, Palisades Park and other fringe cities still in New Jersey). If that's the case, you should find ample opportunities even at the entry level. My advice is to cruise the New York Times classified section for job postings and hit all the big online sites (Dice.com, Careerbuilder.com, Hotjobs.com and so forth) to see what's available. I'll be surprised if you don't come up with a few jobs for which you can apply and perhaps even qualify.

Good luck, and keep at it: If you persevere you will eventually find work!

-- Ed
