I need to set up a conference room with a WLAN. Up to 50 users may be simultaneously present. Will one powerful AP do? Or do I need multiple APs?

Which APs have load-balancing features? QUESTION POSED ON: 04 OCT 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Howard Plumley, Jr. What services are you going to provide? E-mail? Web browsing? Video conferencing? Streaming audio/video?

Since each WPA acts as ONE port on the switch/router, you can do the math for bandwidth distribution. Load balancing is where each WPA is on a separate port as opposed to sharing a port by bridging.

A shared 10 MB port can handle a hundred e-mail clients, but only ten browsers and only one video stream.
