One of my user wants to access a server in U.S. through a VPN client. We have a PIX proxy server, which I think is not connecting to U.S. How can we resolve the problem? Do we need a direct DNS server (bypassing proxy) line? QUESTION POSED ON: 03 OCT 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Howard Plumley, Jr. Can a regular client on the network access the desired site? If so, then it is NOT the proxy. If not, then correct the PIX proxy firewall first. If local client connects, then check VPN for filters preventing port 80 access.
