Thus, sorry to say, Solaris 10 isn't officially supported at this time. Let's explore that statement a bit further, though. The officially supported software list means that IBM has tested that software and has certified that WebSphere Portal 5.1 runs as expected. However, it does not mean that IBM won't support that environment. IBM recognizes that it can be challenging the database server, LDAP server, Web server, operating systems, etc. to all be on the supported release levels on the same time -- especially when those services are shared by other systems. Thus, you will be supported, but, of course, problem resolution on non-tested platforms may take longer (in some cases, much longer) than for supported software environments.
