QUESTION ANSWERED BY: David Sengupta This is a good question. Actually, Exchange is designed to use as much available RAM as it can get its hands on, and will release RAM as required by other applications. Note that SQL server has the same memory requirements, which is why you should never co-locate Exchange and SQL on the same machine -- you'll get memory contention issues non-stop. There's no way of throttling Exchange 2000 memory consumption.
