How can I resolve warning ID 9337? QUESTION POSED ON: 12 JUL 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: David Sengupta Hello Alhanbali,

Thanks for the question. Before I attempt to answer, I should remind everyone that there are some key bits of information that are required whenever you're trying to troubleshoot an event ID, as in this question. These include:

* What version of Exchange are you running (i.e., Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003)?
* What Service Pack is installed?
* What operating system is the server running on (i.e., Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003)?
* Where is this error appearing (i.e., popup, application event log on server, system event log on server, application event log on client, etc.)?
* If it's an event log event: What is the source of the event (i.e., OAL Generator)?
* What type of event is it (i.e., information, warning, error)?
* What is the description of the event?
* Any symptomatic history around the error would also be useful, for example:
Recent changes to the server in question
What was happening at the time of the error?
Is the error reproducible? What are repro steps?

Anyways, the more detail you can provide, the easier it is to provide accurate responses.

So now I'll take a guess at the 9337 error. I will assume that this is an Exchange server event in the server's application event log, and that you're referring to:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeSA
Event Category: OAL Generator
Event ID: 9337

If this is the case, my recommendation is for you to rebuild your offline address list from within Exchange, and if that doesn't work, to rebuild your Exchange site folders as described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: How to reset system folders in Exchange Server 2003.

Needless to say, I'm making a ton of assumptions here, so please confirm that I am indeed responding to the correct event and as always, don't make any changes without a good backup of your server.

David
