My end users would like to use the Notes client to access their e-mails while they on the road. I have created the server connection and location in their personal address books, but they are unable to access their e-mail by using Notes client. They are able to access their mails with Domino Web Access. Please advice and greatly appreciate. QUESTION POSED ON: 17 JUN 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Mathew Newman If you are able to get to your Web server via DWA, but not via Notes, you may not dealing with a Comms issue, but rather a security issue.

Download notesping (if you have trouble finding it, it's on the downloads section of my Web site at "site extra's" --> "downloads") and use this utility to trace a route to your server using a variety of protocols.

If you can hit it via HTTP, but not Notes, check that NRPC traffic (port 1352) is able to get through your firewall to the server. Of course, you will ONLY be able to test this in the same environment as your users (e.g., dial an ISP and try to connect back in to your server).
