How can I place a company logo in the header of a new memo (letterhead) when the company does not own a Domino server -- it's only a Lotus client shop. It seems like the letterheads are standard. Does it mean that I can only use the standard letterhead supplied in the standard installation? QUESTION POSED ON: 17 JUN 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Mathew Newman If you were connected to a Domino server, you could use a template to change one of the standard mail letterhead images (look in Image resources for files with aliases such as "StdNotesLtr3"), then this letterhead image would be updated in all of your users' database designs.

In an environment where you are using Notes clients without a Domino server, you could still perform this operation. In this case, you would have to visit each user's workstation and replace the same image resource name with the same file in all the templates.

BTW -- Have you checked out Domino Express licensing? If you have client licenses, but no Domino server, the new Express licensing option gives smaller Notes shops the flexibility to install Domino servers as required to support the client base, while still only paying for client licenses. That is, in this scenario the Domino server licenses are, in effect, FREE.
