I did a VB6 school project with other people who have since gone their own ways. An .exe file was created for the project and it worked. I have since lost the VB6 programs that were use to created the .exe file. Is there any way that I can use VB6 to break down the .exe file to give me back the various VB6 components? QUESTION POSED ON: 15 APR 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Samuel Matzen No. VB6 compiles to machine code, so the .exe is fully compiled. There is no way to reverse engineer it any further back than assembly language with no comments, but that won't tell you much.
