My Cisco 7206 router's "sh log" command is not showing the correct time. But when I execute "sh clock" and "sh calendar" both show the correct time. What could be the problem and how can I solve it? QUESTION POSED ON: 04 APR 2005
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Chris Partsenidis The "Show Clock" command should display your actual time, while the "Show log" will display the time an event took place. If you're able to track down a specific event (or even cause one to be logged for testing purposes), and see that the timing is incorrect, it could be related to bug in the IOS or some similar problem.

In my experience, I've never come across such a case, so I can't really provide you with much information on it. Again, double check the log files with the displayed time (I would disconnect an interface, check the console output and then look for the appropriate log to compare it), and if you're sure there still is a problem, open a case with Cisco so they can help you determine the cause.

In addition, visit Cisco's site and perform a keyword search using your router model and IOS version to see what results you get back.

Best of luck!
