What is the difference between VoIP and ATM? Which one would be more often used in companies and which one in homes?

VoIP is voice packets that encapsulate into data packets and travel the network via the IP protocol. ATM moves data in cells via a fixed route that it establishes. In IP transmission, the IP packets can move in a variety of routes and the end device has to reassemble them in order.

ATM would definitely be more for a business primarily due to cost.
