Matt, in response to a previous question, How can I prevent a report from timing out without changing the time out parameter?, I've read your answer and think it is a good one. But a easier way to do it, I think, is to put a progress bar in your program. Then you have interaction with your workstation and the program won't time out. What's your opinion on this solution?

That works fine, so long as you can keep the time between updating the progress bar to less than your timeout period. Anyway, you are correct; it is simpler.
