Matt, in response to a previous question, How can I prevent a report from timing out without changing the time out parameter?, I've read your answer and think it is a good one. But a easier way to do it, I think, is to put a progress bar in your program. Then you have interaction with your workstation and the program won't time out. What's your opinion on this solution? QUESTION POSED ON: 06 SEP 2004
QUESTION ANSWERED BY: Matthew Billingham That works fine, so long as you can keep the time between updating the progress bar to less than your timeout period. Anyway, you are correct; it is simpler.
